Medical Chief Officer

Job Description

Keyrus Life Science is looking for a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) who will prepare new clinical trials launch and oversee the day to day clinical operations in a biotech company based in Liege area. Multiple international clinical projects are to be performed starting from 2021.

As a CMO, you will prepare, manage and coordinate the national and international clinical trials starting from the study set-up until the closure. You will follow-up on the activities of principal investigators and physicians, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of safety and medical care. You are going to collaborate with the CRO for recruitment activities, mentor the physicians and manage the CRO’s and hospital budget. Of course, you will ensure that all regulations and safety standards are met according to GCP, based on national and international law and regulations.

As part of your Chief Medical Officer responsibilities, you will also determine and provide the resources required to implement, maintain and improve an adequate and effective Quality Management System. Your involvement in the organization of internal/external audits and inspections will also be required.

Profile

  • Medical background (MD) with around 8 years clinical project management experience
  • Experience with the set-up and/or supervision of Clinical Trials is required
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English
  • Master in Health Administration and French proficiency are considered as assets

This position is based in Liege area, Belgium and open to both, candidates with freelance or employee status. Due to the nature of the role, some activities can be performed remotely from home but some would require flexibility for travels to international investigational sites.
